THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO RESOLUTIONS IS THE ONE ON EICHELBERGER IS A REAFFIRMS THE DECLARATION THAT YOU MADE BACK IN AUGUST, STATING THAT THE PROPERTY IS NO LONGER USED, NEEDED BY THE COUNTY FOR PUBLIC USE, AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE AS REQUIRED BY STATE STATUTE, WHICH MEANS IT'S GOT TO BE OFFERED TO THE FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC, EITHER BY A SEALED BID OR AUCTION, AND THEN THE. THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZES THE COUNTY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING DIRECTOR TO MAKE THE DECISION AS TO THE PARTICULAR MODE OF SALE BETWEEN THOSE TWO. AND ALSO THE LAW WAS RECENTLY CHANGED LAST SESSION TO ALLOW IN THE PUBLIC DISPOSITION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY TO ALLOW THE USE OF A REALTOR, IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO. SO THAT OPTION IS ALSO AVAILABLE. LET ME SAY THAT IN THE PAST WE'VE WE'VE DONE THAT WITH A BID JUST LIKE AN ENVELOPE BID, AS YOU MIGHT SAY. YES, SIR. WE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE FOR 30 DAYS TO ANNOUNCE IT AND THEN HAVE A SEALED OPENING.
