IT WAS DISCUSSED AT OUR LAST BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS TWO WEEKS AGO AT THE WORK SESSION AND THE EVENING, AND MAJOR JEFF DURAN IS HERE AGAIN. THANK YOU AGAIN. GOOD MORNING. GOOD MORNING. NOW WE PRESENT. DO YOU WANT ME TO START OVER WITH THE. HOW DO Y'ALL WANT TO. WE'VE I THINK EVERYBODY SOMEWHAT FAMILIAR WITH IT OKAY. ALL RIGHT. LET ME SHOW YOU. AND AFTER THAT THERE IS AN AUTOMATIC INCREASES THAT IS ARE TIED TO THE CPI AND THE ECI. BASICALLY WHAT THAT MEANS IS IT'S IT'S TIED TO BOTH FOOD PRICE INCREASES AND LABOR INCREASES. COST, LABOR COSTS. AND THERE WAS SOME OTHER LEGAL LANGUAGE THAT WAS CHANGED. I THINK THEY WANTED A 15 DAY WHERE EITHER WE COULD BACK OUT OR THEY COULD BACK OUT, AND THAT WAS NOT GOOD FOR EITHER ONE OF US, REALLY. THAT WAS ONE THING I THINK RAMONA POINTED OUT. SO I THINK THAT'S BEEN CHANGED TO 60 DAYS, I BELIEVE.

SO THEY WOULD GIVE US A HUGE NOTICE SHOULD ANYTHING DRASTICALLY CHANGE IN NOVEMBER.

RECENTLY WE'VE MADE A COUPLE TRIPS TO THE ACTIVE LIFE CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY AND TALKED ABOUT SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ALERTS AND AS WELL AS SEEK OUT GRANT FUNDING FOR OPTIONS TO UPGRADE SOME OF THOSE. AND AS SOME OF Y'ALL WELL KNOW, ON ON GOING TO THESE VISITS WITH ME, SOME OF THE QUESTIONS THAT WE GOT WERE ABOUT THE TORNADO WARNING SIRENS THROUGHOUT TROUP COUNTY. SO WE DID A LITTLE RESEARCH ON SOME GRANT OPTIONS THAT WERE OUT THERE. DID SOME EXCUSE ME, GOT A QUOTE BACK ON SOME STUFF JUST TO KIND OF SEE WHAT WE WERE LOOKING AT. AND JIMA HAS A PASS THROUGH GRANT FROM FEMA FOR HAZARD MITIGATION. THAT IS A 75% GRANT IS WITH A 25% MATCH. SO WHAT WE DID IS WE STARTED LOOKING AT ALL THE OLD TORNADO SIREN LOCATIONS, AS WELL AS POSSIBLY ADDING TWO INTO THAT THROUGHOUT THAT, WEST POINT RECENTLY ADDED SOME SIRENS OF THEIR OWN THROUGH METROPOLITAN COMMUNICATIONS. HOWEVER, WE WERE UNABLE TO GET A QUOTE FROM THEM IN THE TIMELY MANNER TO TO PRESENT WITH THIS, BUT WE'VE GOT ONE FROM SIRENS FOR CITIES ON THAT. THE THE REASON FOR THE EXPEDITED REQUEST ON THIS IS THE HAZARD MITIGATION. THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR HAZARD MITIGATION FUNDING IS SEPTEMBER THE 30TH. SO AUGUST 1ST WE STARTED USING THE THE NEW UDO OR ZONING SAID. IT IS A LIVING DOCUMENT THAT THINGS CHANGE USES OF LAND CHANGE. AND IT'S SO BIG THAT IT'S HARD TO WRITE AN ORDINANCE THAT ACCOUNTS FOR EVERY SCENARIO THAT YOU MAY COME ACROSS. THEN WE'LL GO INTO APPROVING THE AGENDA, APPROVING THE MINUTES FROM OUR LAST MEETING, THE WORK SESSION ON SEPTEMBER 2ND, AND THE BOARD MEETING FROM SEPTEMBER 2ND. SO WE'LL APPROVE THOSE MINUTES. THEN WE'LL MOVE INTO SPECIAL BUSINESS SECTION, WHICH IS THE FIVE ITEMS THAT WE TALKED ABOUT EARLIER. THE COMPUTER REPLACEMENT, THE INMATE FOOD SERVICE, THE FY 2027 GRANT APPLICATION FOR TRANSIT, THE JEMA HEALTH MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM, WHICH IS FOR THE SIRENS, AND THEN THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE EMT GRANT FOR THE EMT TRAINING. THIS IS THE FINAL APPROVAL OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THAT THEN WE HAVE TO SUBMIT BEFORE OCTOBER 31ST. AND WE'LL BE DONE FOR THIS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CYCLE. SO THIS IS FINAL APPROVAL WAS THE 24 TO 5 ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THAT ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN IT LOOKSARS OKAY. THEREFORE IT'S 2025 TO 2045 LOOK AHEAD FOR THE COMP PLAN IS. 20 YEAR.
